Mid-Year Change on Standard Mileage Rates

Starting July 1st, 2026, the IRS announced new 2026 mileage rates. The rates for 2026 will be split into two periods, January 1st-June 30th and July 1st-Decemeber 31st. The rates are increased by 3.5 cents for business and 3 cents for medical/military moving use. This is the first time since 2022 that the IRS has implemented a mid-year mileage increase.
